Shelby is so funny, but she’s still a teenager until January 2, 2013…LOL! I became aquainted with you on socialcam so I recognized the name, but I’ve never heard you sing or any of your songs…I pray while I write, but I don’t know what to do with my songs and lyrics once they’re written…Should I pray about that too?

Thank you Joseph, this is very encouraging. I’ve got a song that’s been waiting for a long time for someone to take it, and I know God gave it to me for a reason but it just feels like so long. I’m praying it will fall into the right hands someday.

Your welcome Joseph! “Why Should I Worry” was the song Karen did in 2010 i wrote. It went to #4 in Sept-Oct 2010 on the Singing News chart. I give God all the glory! Karen actually has another brand new song I wrote about 4 months ago on “hold” to record this summer. I love your songwriting Joseph! Keep’em coming!!! The Lord has blessed me with several songs with Daywind and Crossroads and Rebecca Peck “waiting” to be recorded. That would be a good article to write upon Chris. Is the “waiting” period. I’ve heard the story of “Four Days Late” and the time between the demo and it getting cut (if i remember right) was a few years. That can also be a little discouraging. But I’ve learned that’s when you pray and ask God to place it where it will be the most beneficial to the Kingdom of God. That’s the way i pray anyhow. I wrote a song called “Read Between The Nails” (I got the ideal from the ole cliche “read between the lines) about 6 years ago but it’s never got cut yet (Dee Gaskins as the publishing on it) and i feel it’s one of my better songs. But you just wait for God’s timing.

Hey Joseph thanks for the encouragement! I know “that” feeling and sometimes it just about can get the best of you. I was going through a time like that a couple years ago then one Wednesday morning Karen Peck called me (I had pitched her song about two weeks prior) and put a song of mine on “hold”. She recorded it and released it as a radio single (2010) and it became my first top 5 song. I’ve only been writing about 6 years so that was very encouraging to me. So, like Joseph said “keep on keeping on”. Keep writing cause God will open the door in his time.

p.s. By the way Joseph thanks for singing that duet love song on the Simpson Family’s latest project. Since August of last year there have been over 25 young couples use it in there weddings all across America. It was one of the highlights for my two daughter that day at Daywind studio. You left a wonderful impression on them! God bless
